OUR GOALS AND STRUCTURE

In the spring of 2014, a small group of folks began working to get Alignment Bay County up and running.  We believe all can all agree that the success of our community is largely dependent upon the success of our youth.

Alignment Bay County is not about re-creating the wheel.  We are fortunate to have many community organizations supporting our youth in wonderful and creative ways. Alignment Bay County simply aims to get all of those organizations working more closely with each other, with our schools, and with our community leaders. We want to ensure that our valuable resources are aligned. Here are four broad goals adopted by the leadership of Alignment Bay County.

SUPPORT CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING BIRTH TO CAREER

IMPROVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT FOR EVERY STUDENT

INCREASE CAREER AND COLLEGE READINESS

INCREASE CIVIC-COMMUNITY-FAMILY INVOLVEMENT IN ALL SCHOOLS

How will we move forward? This is our structure, adopted with guidance from Alignment Nashville, the pilot Alignment group in the United States.

There are three Alignment Teams, or A-Teams, in our current structure. These are the focal points of group work. They determine how the goals are achieved by creating programs and solutions for the gap or problems that negatively impact the goals. Each is chaired by a school district employee and a community leader. They are overseen by our Operating Board. Click here to see a listing of our leaders.
